So, in non-knitting related news, I found something on the internet tonight.

I found an Edward Gorey inspired True Type Font that was made available for free under a creative commons license here.
I won’t spend a lot of time waxing poetic about Edward Gorey. But we shall suffice it to say that I may have squealed like a little girl and downloaded the font and joyfully typed quite a lot of mindless drivel just because of the sheer pleasure in the fact that I could.
I adore Edward Gorey’s work.

I too love Edward Gorey. I had a Gorey day calendar a couple of years ago and I’ve kept all the pages because I liked the drawings so much.

Another Gorey fan here. You think I’d get into trouble if I start doing “scholarly” presentations using that font?

So why didn’t you talk about your book find, yo?

That’s the font I use for my return address labels! Love it. The husband and I go to the Edward Gorey house every time we’re in the Northeast. He even has two Gorey tattoos.
